Mr. Harmon has defended many serious cases in his career, including death penalty cases, complex white-collar and corporate cases, and large drug conspiracy cases. He also successfully, represented and fought for the inmates of the Riverside County Jail in litigation concerning overcrowding and poor jail conditions.

Mr. Harmon has been called a "zealous and thorough" advocate by the California Supreme Court (People v. Hart (1999) 20 Cal. 4th 509, 636).

Because of his years of experience and successful advocacy, Mr. Harmon has become a nationally recognized lecturer on the subject of criminal defense and trial skills.

Mr. Harmon is on the faculty of and teaches regularly at the National Criminal Defense College based in Macon, Georgia, the Institute for Criminal Defense Advocacy in San Diego, California, and the Death Penalty Colleges at the University of Santa Clara Law School and the University of Michigan School of Law.
